Responsibilities
The Town Manager’s Office is responsible to Town Council for proper administration of all of the Town daily operations and for implementation of the policies established by the Council. This office also ensures all departments work in alignment with the Town’s goals to produce high efficiency, quality customer service, and sound fiscal responsibility.
About Stephen Cleveland
Stephen Cleveland is the Chief Executive and Administrative Officer for the Town of Buckeye. Mr. Cleveland was appointed July 1, 2009, and serves at the pleasure of the Buckeye Mayor and Town Council as town manager.
Mr. Cleveland is an accomplished innovator and creative, dedicated leader with 37 years of public and private service experience. He served 18 years as City Manager for the full-service municipality, Goodyear, Arizona, and 6 years as Assistant Manager, during its growth from 3,000 to 55,000 population and development of a strong business base. Mr. Cleveland has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Services and Public Affairs from the University of Oregon.
