    Office Hour Changes
As of December 1, 2008, the Town of Buckeye extended its official work hours from the previous 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM hours to the new hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Many Town offices will be closed on Fridays. The additional office hours Monday through Thursday will allow residents more flexibility in when they visit Town offices. The change is being made to offer the best in customer service to our residents and business partners.

Other Town services will continue to be offered on Fridays, including curbside recycling pickup, senior and social service programs at the Buckeye Senior Center, and recreational programming at the Dr. Saide Recreation Center.

In addition, the Buckeye Public Library's  will operating hours are now Monday through Friday from 9:00AM-7:00PM, and the Buckeye Municipal Court will be open Monday through Thursday and will be closed on Friday. Essential police and fire services will be offered seven days a week, as will calls for emergency services such as water line breaks.

Maricopa County mandates that all municipalities develop a Trip Reduction Program to reduce traffic impacts on air pollution and emissions in our communities. By closing many Town offices on Fridays, many Buckeye employees will be driving to and from work one day less each week, doing their part to reduce the current levels of pollution. By closing Town offices on Friday, Buckeye is meeting its commitment to reduce the number of employee vehicle trips.

In addition to the environmental benefits, the Town anticipates saving on utility costs like electricity, heating / cooling and water usage by closing Town offices one day each week.
