This class is great for boys and girls interested in becoming a parent's helper, starting to or already babysitting and want to enhance their skills. Babysitting is not just "watching" children, it is about being responsible for a child's safety and well-being. This class will introduce the skills necessary to care for infants and children and help build confidence in creating their own babysitting business. Topics include developing a resume, safety in the home, how to do an orientation, handwashing, diapering, feeding practices as well as what to do in an emergency. Students will receive an American Safety & Health Institute Child and Babysitting Safety certification valid for (2) years, and a student workbook. Please have child bring lunch and beverage.
