Police Recruit Testing Event

The next physical fitness test is Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Please complete an application to receive important details about the hiring process.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants for sworn positions must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • U.S. citizen 
  • 21 years of age before graduation of police academy
  • No felony convictions
  • No dishonorable discharge from United States Armed Forces

Testing Process

The Buckeye Police Department holds regular police recruit testing events which include physical fitness evaluation, online assessment and interview. 

  • 99-yard obstacle course
  • Drag a 165-lb body a distance of 32 feet
  • Scale six foot walls and run 25 yards
  • 500-yard run
