We issue permits in accordance to current council approved building codes to ensure safe buildings and structures within the city of Buckeye. We are knowledgeable of all requirements and procedures you need for obtaining a permit, and we can assist you through the permitting process.
You will need a permit to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish any buildings or structures within the Buckeye city limits. Permits are also required, but not limited to fencing, pools, spas, patios, solar and re-roofs. If in doubt as to whether your project requires a permit, please contact the Permit Center for clarification at permitcenter@buckeyeaz.gov or by phone at 623-349-6200.
To apply for a permit with the city, you will need to complete a Permit Application. This application can be submitted by emailing a completed application and plans to permitcenter@buckeyeaz.gov. We are currently accepting online applications for miscellaneous permits. For a list of these permit types, please see 'Online Permits' below.
We need the following information to review your plans, all documents must be properly filled out and submitted to be considered a complete submittal.

A permit will not be issued until all forms are properly completed, necessary reviews are approved and all assessed fees have been paid.

Impact Fees
The city of Buckeye released to the public, pursuant to A.R.S. §9-463.05, its proposed Land Use Assumptions (the “LUA”) and the Infrastructure Improvements Plan (the “IIP”) by providing notice of the availability of the LUA/IIP for public review and posting the LUA/IIP on the city’s website. The proposed LUA/IIP was approved and adopted by the Mayor and City Council on January 7, 2020.
