What Is a Transportation Master Plan?
The Buckeye Transportation Master Plan is a plan that will guide the city in the development of a comprehensive transportation network including streets, freight movement, rail, transit, airport, ITS and active transportation.
Why Are We Doing a Transportation Master Plan?
Buckeye is a growing community. The current Transportation Master Plan was completed in 2019, following ratification of the Imagine Buckeye 2040 General Plan in 2018. Since then, the city’s population continues to grow and new businesses are locating to our community. An updated Transportation Master Plan will address these changing land uses as well as recent investments in transportation infrastructure and services.
Project Overview
The Buckeye Transportation Master Plan will be updated to include changes in:
- Current characteristics of street, freight and active transportation facilities
- Future street, freight and active transportation facilities required to address the needs of our growing community
- Identification and prioritization of projects to be constructed and their approximate costs
- Identification of potential funding opportunities and team partners for the implementation of the various projects within the plan
