Community ConnectThe Buckeye Police Department aims to empower residents and business owners to play active roles in fighting crime in our city. Community Connect allows you to partner with us in keeping our neighborhoods safe by providing information on the security cameras you are already using to protect your home and property.

Timely access to video evidence can be incredibly helpful for officers investigating crime in your area. Footage captured on your security cameras may help police gather information, develop leads, solve cases and protect the public. Community Connect ensures an easy and efficient way for you to share your video.

To participate in this free and voluntary program, please register your security camera with the Camera Registry below to add the location of your camera(s) to the internal registry map. If a crime is reported in your area, law enforcement may contact you and request footage. This registry is for residential and commercial cameras.

Camera Registry

The Community Connect Camera Registry helps us develop a map of working security cameras throughout Buckeye. With this map, investigators have the ability to readily locate security cameras when investigating a crime reported in your area.

By registering your video security system, Buckeye police will be able to identify your property location as having active security camera(s). Officers will also have the ability to contact you directly if it is determined your camera may have captured valuable video evidence.

Community Connect Camera Registry does not allow police personnel to gain live-feed access to your cameras. Buckeye police will only contact you as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

Working with our community to deter crime and promote public safety is the goal of this registry. Accordingly, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • Registration is voluntary.
  • Registration information will be used by the Buckeye Police Department for official purposes only.
  • Registrants may be contacted by the Buckeye Police Department and asked to check their recordings for a specific date and time should investigators determine the potential for video evidence in the area.
  • Footage containing or related to criminal activity may be collected by the Buckeye Police Department for use as evidence during any stage of a criminal proceeding.
  • Under no circumstances should registrants construe they are acting as an agent or employee of the city of Buckeye or the Buckeye Police Department.
  • If you wish to withdraw from the program, please contact the Buckeye Police Department non-emergency line at 623-386-4421.
