Buckeye’s Social Services Program partners with Maricopa County Community Action Program and the Salvation Army, to assist residents during unexpected financial challenge. The program provides support that fosters self-sufficiency and stability through limited, temporary assistance with utility and eviction prevention, information and referral resources and short-term case management for residents.

Social Service walk-in hours are Tuesday, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
In order to receive Salvation Army assistance, these documents must be provided:
- Photo ID
- Bills including back bills to 0 balance (Last three months) and showing usage
- Proof of income
- Crisis statement (why assistance is needed, specific to Salvation Army Assistance)
- Consent form, to be taken at time of intake
Office hours are to be used for:
- Submitting CAP Rental & Utility Documents
- Technical Assistance in applying on-line utilizing the CAP portal system
- Applying for Salvation Army Utility Assistance (limited assistance and spaces available on a first come, first serve basis)
- Please note: The City Utility Billing Water does not accept Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) applications.
