Missing Persons
The Buckeye Police Major Crimes Unit investigates missing persons cases. Department policy allows for loved ones to report a missing person immediately. Once a report is received, Buckeye Police promptly initiate a search and launch an investigation to determine whether a crime has occurred.
When it comes to investigating missing persons, an investigator’s role can be limited. Becoming a missing person is not a crime, so police intrusion must be minimal. In cases where foul play is suspected, police can launch a criminal investigation. That allows investigators to cite suspicious factors when asking a court to approve search warrants.
Cold Case Homicides
Buckeye Police Major Crimes detectives are dedicated to solving every case and bringing closure to families who have lost loved ones to violence. Input from the public is crucial to helping investigators develop leads, make arrests and bring offenders to justice.
Anyone with information on these cold cases are urged to call the Buckeye Police tip line at 623-349-6411. To remain anonymous, tipsters can contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS where information could make them eligible for a cash reward.
