The Buckeye Police Department Records Division maintains copies of departmental reports and is responsible for addressing records requests made by members of the public, media and other law enforcement or criminal justice agencies.

To obtain copies of departmental reports or other reports released under public records law, you can submit a request using LexisNexisThis online portal can assist you with requesting the following reports:

  • Incident Report
  • Traffic Crash (if requesting a traffic crash report, you must be a party to the accident)
  • Body Camera Audio/Video
  • Photographs
  • Recorded Interviews
  • Surveillance Videos
  • 911 Recordings
  • Calls for Service
  • Crime Statistics

This instructional guide may assist you in submitting a public records request using LexisNexis. During this process, you will be asked to specify your involvement with the record you are seeking. Media members are encouraged to select “other” and describe your media affiliation in the field provided so your request can be accurately tracked and processed. If requesting multiple items for a single incident, please select "department report" and follow prompts to manually list items. Once a public records request is successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

The Buckeye Police Department Records Division strives to fulfill records requests as soon as possible. Some requests may take longer than others to process based on complexity, size and nature of the records sought. Each request is processed in the order in which it is received.

If the item you are seeking is not listed on the portal, contact the Records Division in person or by phone during regular business hours. Records requests cannot be made by phone or email.
