The Buckeye Police Department Property & Evidence Unit at 8050 S. Shepards Trl. is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please call 623-349-6400 and press option #5.
Agencies that need to ship items to our facility must call ahead to make arrangements.
Impounded Property Releases:
Property is released by appointment during regular business hours. The owner of the property must come in person to pick up the property and provide a valid government issued photo ID. If the owner cannot come in, they must provide a notarized letter listing both the assigned individual’s name and the report number.
Firearm releases are done by appointment only to allow time for a background check to be completed.
Items held as evidence can only be released with property notification from the case officer. For more information please contact the case officer or the property room at 623-349-6400 and press option #5.
Unclaimed Property
The Buckeye Police Department Property & Evidence Unit located at 8050 S. Shepards Trl. Buckeye, AZ 85326, gives notice to all true owners of the unclaimed/abandoned property as listed on the city website.
- You must submit satisfactory claim and/or proof of ownership within 30 days of the date of this notice (all unclaimed property after 30 days will be sold at auction or disposed of)
- Property must be claimed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., please call for an appointment
- Any property not claimed within 30 days of this notice may be sold at public auction to the highest bidder, kept for city use or donated to charity
- Any person who believes property may rightfully belong to them must make a claim and provide proof of ownership
- Claimants must show valid photo identification
