City of Buckeye
Home MenuIn-Ground Can Service
To keep critters away from your trash and from making a mess, please remember to:
- Bag and tie all trash
- Place garbage containing any type of food or leftovers inside your in-ground, covered container
When your in-ground containers are full:
- Place your extra trash bags that do not contain food waste on top of your in-ground containers
- If your recycle container is full and you have cardboard boxes that won’t fit, simply break them down and either bundle them or place them tightly within a cardboard box and leave it on the recycle container
- Both extra items will be picked up on their respective service day
The in-ground cans and related structures are part of the home, and are owned and maintained by the property owner. The city and its contractor are not responsible for maintenance and repair of in-ground trash and recycle containment systems
What Goes Where?
- The can nearest the street is for trash
- The can nearest the home is for recycle, recycling may be bagged to prevent loose items from blowing away
What if I Have More Trash?
