Air Quality Concerns

• Odor: The city of Buckeye and Maricopa County Air Quality departments are unable to respond to reports of agricultural smells
•  Dust from Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV):
  • Before riding check rules and requirements of the Arizona Off-Highway Vehicle Guide

• Burning:
  • The Maricopa County Air Quality Department regulates burn activities because burning produces fine particulate matter, carbon monoxide and other toxins that can be harmful to your health

We strive to protect our basins, ephemeral washes and rivers. These structures recharge the aquifer after rain events and provide wildlife habitat. Our local ordinances support these essential activities.

The city is required to follow the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit.
